My name is Maria Francisca Planella Muzard — but everyone calls me Popi!

Wine Uncovered was born from my background, my travels, and the many experiences that shaped who I am.

My father, an oenologist, travelled with my mother — a descendant of a French family — to Bordeaux, France, where he completed his master’s degree. For two years, he worked at the prestigious Maison Moët & Chandon, propriétaire de Dom Pérignon.

My brother and sister were born in France before my parents returned to Chile and settled at our family winery, Santa Rosa del Peral, where I grew up. From my parents, I learned to appreciate the rhythms and flavors of each season, and to see how the interconnectedness of environment, people, and wine creates a unique social fabric of community, creative expression, and love.

Over the years, I have lived in different countries and worked in tourism and creative design. These experiences deepened my appreciation for the ways culture, place, and craftsmanship come together. Wine Uncovered is my way of sharing how we celebrate life in Chile — especially through the magic of our wine.

My commitment is to offer you a unique, personalized journey into Chilean wine: exploring ethical winemaking, the natural colors of each season, and the delicious food and beautiful crafts that tell the story of each place we visit.

My approach is about crafting an intimate, experiential learning adventure — one that reflects your individual interests and reveals wine as a way of life.
